DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
Delete your 7 Wanders account
You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app. This page explains exactly what that removes, what it keeps, and how long it takes.
Delete it from the app

You will be asked to confirm. Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.
Can’t get into the app?
Email support@7wanders.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is really you before deleting anything, then delete the account and reply to confirm — normally within 2 business days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in
- Your account email and the Apple, Google, or email identity you signed in with.
- Your profile
- Your display name and your home-base city, if you set one.
- Your trips
- Every synced trip, itinerary, planning parameter, expense entry, note, and the edit log behind them. Files you attached (booking confirmations, tickets) become inaccessible the same moment and are purged from storage by a scheduled daily sweep.
- Your saved lists
- Every place you saved for later, and the lists you organised them into.
- Shared-trip membership
- Your membership in trips others shared with you, invitations you sent or received, and any nudges or presence records.
- Subscription and entitlement records
- Our record of which plan you were on, and your daily usage counters.
- Diagnostics tied to you
- The failure telemetry recorded against your account — event names and error codes.
- Notification tokens
- The device tokens used to send you push notifications.
- Your agreement records
- The record of which version of our terms you accepted, and when.
- Everything on your device
- Once the server confirms deletion, the app also wipes its local copy — every trip stored on the device, its attachments, sync bookkeeping, and the cached plan status — so a newly created account never inherits the old one's data.
What we keep, and why
Two kinds of records outlive the account, and a third was never ours to delete.
- Anonymized service metrics
- Records of how long requests took, whether they succeeded, and how much they cost to run are kept so we can measure and improve the service. Your user ID is erased from these rows at deletion, so what remains is not linked to you or to any other account.
- Anonymized rate-limit records
- Records that an external data provider declined a request are kept to diagnose outages. Your user ID is erased from these rows at deletion.
- Purchase records held by Apple or Google
- If you subscribed, your purchase history belongs to the app store that processed it, not to us — we never receive your payment details, and we cannot delete their records. Manage those through your Apple or Google account.
How long it takes
- From our live systems
- Immediately. Deletion runs the moment you confirm it, and it cannot be undone.
- From backups
- Residual copies inside encrypted database backups are overwritten as those backups age out, within 90 days.
